Built on Purpose. Named for a Reason.

Poirier Creative didn't happen by accident. It was earned — through twelve years of retail, a newsroom pivot, a cross-country move, and the slow, deliberate decision to build something that actually meant something.

From Best Buy to Bear City — and Everything After.

Brad Poirier spent twelve years at Best Buy learning something most marketing agencies never bother to understand: what it actually takes to earn a customer's trust face to face. Not with a clever ad. Not with a retargeting pixel. With clarity, confidence, and the ability to make someone feel like they made the right decision.

In 2013, he traded the sales floor for a desk at a local newspaper in Rhode Island — joining as an advertising representative at a time when print was shrinking and nobody quite knew what came next. By 2015, that uncertainty had become an opportunity. Brad helped launch the paper's digital marketing division, building websites, running SEO, and managing social marketing for local businesses who needed someone to tell them the truth about where their customers had gone.

He was good at it. More importantly, he understood it — not just as a service to sell, but as a craft worth taking seriously.

In 2018, everything changed.

A move to New Bern, North Carolina — a small coastal city with deep roots, a bear on its crest, and a habit of putting that bear on absolutely everything — gave Brad the push he needed to go out on his own. He named the company Bear City Impact. It made sense at the time. New Bern was his new home, the bear was everywhere, and he was building something local.

What started as a web design practice grew steadily. Clients came. Services expanded. The work got better. And somewhere along the way, Brad realized the name had never really fit the business he was actually building.

Some things take time to become what they were always meant to be.

Bear City Impact was a good company with the wrong name. As the work evolved — deeper into brand strategy, more intentional about creative direction, more deliberate about the clients worth taking on — the identity needed to catch up.

The answer was right there in his name the whole time.

Poirier — French in origin, carried through generations, meaning pear tree. Rooted. Patient. Built to bear fruit over time rather than overnight. It fit the philosophy of the work far better than any bear ever could.

Paired with the family motto — Oncques ne fauldray. Never Falter — the name became more than a rebrand. It became a statement of intent.

Poirier Creative launched as a boutique branding and creative studio with a simple belief: that established businesses deserve more than generic marketing. They deserve artisan attention to detail, a clear strategic foundation, and a creative partner who treats their brand with the same care they put into building their business.

THE PROVINCIAL METHOD

A Process With a Philosophy Behind It.

Every studio has a process. Most of them are just a checklist with a fancy name.

The Provincial Method is different — because it didn't come from a business school framework or a marketing textbook. It came from years of watching good businesses waste money on tactics that had no foundation beneath them.

Brand first. Web second. Content third. In that order. For a reason.

When those three things are built deliberately and work together, marketing stops feeling like a gamble and starts feeling like a system. That's what The Provincial Method is built to create — not just deliverables, but direction.

THE STUDIO TODAY

Boutique by Design. Not by Default.

Poirier Creative operates as a boutique studio — intentionally small, intentionally selective, and intentionally focused on the kind of work that requires genuine attention rather than assembly-line execution.

We work with established businesses that have organizational structure, a clear sense of what they're building, and the capital to invest in their brand seriously. We're not the right fit for everyone — and we'd rather tell you that upfront than take your money and underdeliver.

What we offer isn't a package. It's a partnership. One built on straight talk, considered creative work, and the kind of long-term thinking that actually moves businesses forward.

Eight years in. Still based in New Bern. Still building things worth building.

Never Falter.
